The work, the need and the impact

01

The Challenge

Imagine losing everything in an instant—your home, your livelihood, and your sense of security. For survivors of global catastrophes, like the Ukraine conflict, Turkey and Syria earthquakes , the Nepal earthquake , this is a devastating reality. While emergency aid often focuses on immediate physical survival, the invisible scars of trauma and mental distress frequently go unaddressed.

Across the world, rapid response usually prioritizes food and shelter, but less attention is paid to the long-term psychological impact on survivors. Without mental and emotional support, individuals remain trapped in a state of high stress and anxiety, making it nearly impossible to rebuild their lives.

02

Our Aim & Approach

IAHV UK bridges the gap between survival and recovery through a holistic three-stage model, ensuring survivors are supported both physically and emotionally.

1. Immediate Material Aid We provide rapid-response relief partnering with Art of Living, including food, medicine, and shelter. This includes support to various global events like the conflict in Ukraine, Balkans flood relief, Turkey Syria earthquake , Hurricane Katrina, oxygen concentrators during India’s COVID-19 crisis and many more.

2. Trauma Relief & Psychosocial Support Our core expertise is mental rehabilitation. Through Healing and Resilience workshops, we teach evidence-based breathwork and meditation. These tools help victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquakes and global conflicts process deep-seated stress and reduce PTSD symptoms.

3. Long-Term Rehabilitation - Where possible we rebuild homes, schools, provide vocational training to restart livelihoods. Our Impact

Community wellbeing

Manage Your Mind CIC

Manage Your Mind started off as a project running under the auspices of The International Association for Human Values (IAHV). After it’s continued success and growth, Manage Your Mind, branched away from the charity and has now been set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC) – Company Number 10639227. Whilst we operate independently of IAHV, our overall aims and objectives are essentially the same and we continue to maintain a partnership in providing courses that improve the health and well being of the community.
